the full moon beautifully captured by my husband 🙂

There is something very magical about the full moon ritual of letting go. If you have been following me or been to any of my classes, you will know that a big part of my work is ‘letting go’. We hold onto too much energy of things which are no longer right for us – the physical possessions, the emotions, the habits.

The list is endless…

It is difficult to let anything new into your life when your hands are full already. Letting go enables there to be space for the new to come in.

What are you holding onto, dear soul?

What are you hanging onto out of obligation…

out of concern that you may need it again…

out of habit…

out of fear…

It is time to let go…

The full moon ritual of letting go… The fullness of the moon gives you the opportunity to give up your ‘stuff’ to the light, to the moon and in so doing you are releasing what you no longer need.

Step 1: Write down everything in your life which you no longer want, need or desire – this includes the emotions you feel around things, habits, ways of doing things which aren’t good for you, physical situations you may find yourself in.

Step 2: Read the list under the full moon.

Step 3: Safely burn or tear up the list – this signifies the release to the moon’s energy.

Once you have let go, don’t think of the list or have a copy. Trust that you have let go and repeat this process at the next moon. It will be interesting for you to notice whether there are new things on the list or whether some things are still hanging on.

I am so looking forward to what you discover. When I first started doing this about 5 years ago, I did around 8 months in a row and then on the 9th month I realised I had nothing to write and hence nothing which needed to go at that time. The feeling of that gives me goosebumps to this day 🙂

Take the time to reflect and journal after you do the ritual too.

Much love, Bx
