The first morning light has become a precious time for me.
The light which occurs just as day breaks. The sun starting to rise, the day in its infancy. This is the time when my mind is the clearest – unencumbered by the day. Nature converses with me via the song of the birds and I use this time for meditation, to write, to pray and do yoga.
Light after darkness is such a powerful spiritual truth. We speak of it often:
Light at the end of the tunnel…
In darkness there is always some light…
If we didn’t know and experience the dark, we wouldn’t be able to appreciate the light…
I feel its strength the most in this morning light of winter. I have woken when it is still dark and during those first minutes to an hour it has lightened. A new day has sprung full of possibility and isn’t this also what happens when we see light again after our darkest moments? We see possibility again.
…hope…
…opportunity…
We realise that yes it was dark, and yes it can be light again.
There is a wonder to a new day. What will occur? How will it unfold? I intend to be a vessel of light today and shine it whenever I can and as brightly as I can.
What about you, dear soul? Are you a morning person? Do you notice the light early? Or is it something you bring into your awareness as the day progresses? I invite you to notice it now. Wherever you are and in whatever form it wants to come – notice the light.
Love always, Bindi x
Thank you for this beautiful reminder of hope and possibility in the midst of a very trying time.
You are so welcome Donna and yes hope & possibility is there if we allow ourselves to look for it and find it 🙂 xx
