Listening… from Colette Baron-Reid’s The Enchanted Map Oracle Cards
Listening…
…deep, inward, soul-listening has come up a lot in the last month.
I participated in a mastermind by my coach, , last month and a lot of the advice and guidance was to listen to ourselves.
I grew up as an independent child with a career mother – so I developed the skills of listening to myself very early on in my life.
I often move inward to receive the guidance and insights I need. This deep listening has naturally progressed to meditation and I use this ancient tool as a base for my everyday.
I meditate regularly in the morning and if I have questions during the day, I may decide to sit in meditation for the answer.
This works better for me then trying to logically form the answer in my head or on paper. That stage comes later for me, once I have done the listening.
I call the writing stage after the meditation ‘soul journalling‘. I get onto paper what my soul told me during the meditation.
During 2013 I experienced some health issues which meant a deep listening to myself and from that listening some guidance on a soul-level. This is where my Soul Healing Meditation originates from.
Do you ever listen to your soul? Have you done so in the past and forgotten this beautiful technique?
Let me take you through my steps of soul-listening:
- Place one or both of your palms at the centre of your chest. This for me is the portal or gateway for the soul – the heart connection. Close your eyes and start feeling the flow of energy between your palm and the heart – this is usually a warm, heated feeling of energy.
- Stay with the connection for as long as you need to feel it. What does your soul look like? Is there a colour, image or word which comes to mind?
- Ask your soul the question you wish the answer for.
- Receive your internal guidance, dear Soul.
- Soul journal all your insights.
This is a technique you can do time and again and the more often you do it, the quicker and easier the connection is. AND your trust with the answers grows too.
I am eager to hear about your soul connections and soul-listening. Share them with me.
Lots of love, Bx
