I like to think of the body as a vessel or a well filled to the brim with energy. By body I mean the physical, emotional and spiritual body of ourselves. This energy grows with the nourishing food we take in; sunlight; being outdoors; having nurturing relationships; drinking water; the care we give ourselves; meditation; silence.

The Chalice Well at Glastonbury is a beautiful reminder of our well…

You need more of this…

Especially at times of stress – which can come in the form of physical sickness or emotional turbulence. Or when your life is busy and there are a number of things needing your attention.

These are the times when your immune is under a lot of pressure – as you try to do too much, try to please everyone and completely forget about yourself.

We forget about ourselves and the energy of our well and so the wellness of the vessel starts depleting.

As the well depletes,

we feel run-down;

we get tired;

we are drained.

We lose track of the things which we know we need to energise ourselves – the freshly made green smoothie, the silence, the walks, connection with friends. We start eating whatever comes to hand and find ourselves being distracted from our core and centre.

Dear Soul, we have all done this… no judgment – simply knowledge to move forward with…

Replenish and energise your well often. It will get depleted with work, play, life – and it is up to you to be aware of this and to replenish and nourish yourself often. Take the nap when you feel tired. Try meditation. Go outside for a walk. All these things make us feel good and nurture our internal and external selves.

Fill your well up…

So over to you… what do you do to fill your well up? Or has this post made you realise it would be good to do more? Let me know what you are going to try out. I love sharing your successes with you.

Lots of love, Bindi x
