After teaching in-person meditation classes in Saltdean for the past 7 years, I will be saying goodbye to these classes in a month’s time. I’m starting a new page or even a ‘new book’ as I take some time out to write, to channel and to heal.
7 years of teaching in one location; 7 years of imparting meditation guidance & knowledge…
7 years of helping students realise their own potential…
7 years of students changing jobs, locations and other life-changes brought about by the extra confidence that a firm, grounded meditation practice gives. It has all been a joy to watch, to observe and to be a part of.
7 years of teaching breathing, chakras, mudras, crystals, affirmations, oracle cards…
7 years of countless meditation topics – love, peace, forgiveness, being in the moment, acceptance, speaking up, harmony, healing, visualisation… and so many more. For the first 3-4 years, a topic was never repeated. New ideas simply flowed through me.
I’ve truly honed my art of teaching after approximately 6000 teaching hours – which takes into account the 5 years of yoga and meditation teaching I did before moving to Saltdean. I have given myself a depth to my teaching as I have guided others. And now it is time for this to end. Or more accurately, it is an end to this page or chapter and the beginning of a new book.
So what is this new beginning?
From October, I will be writing. I have been writing a Life Coaching & Meditation book on and off for the last couple of years now. I’ve come to realise that unless I give it priority and the time it needs, it is not going to be completed. So I have decided to take a break from teaching to move inward and to complete the book!
While I retreat inwards, I have made my teachings available under my Soul Wisdom School and will continue to add new classes. Sign up for the school here: Soul Wisdom School – There is a free class on Peace which I would love for you to be a part of – bringing peace to ourselves and to the world.
As I move towards my writing life, I have been looking at my new schedule and what it will look like. How will my 5 or 6 days of writing unfold? At the moment I have 2 ideas:
- A writing schedule of 2 weeks with no admin or e-mail time, then a week of admin, and then another 2 weeks of writing time.
- A writing schedule of 3 days per week with 2 afternoons of admin time.
I’ll still be volunteering during my writing time and I am also joining an art class. I’ll be trying out the different schedules to see which works best for me.
Please let me know if you have any other ideas or share your own writing schedule. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Are you beginning something new yourself? I would love to know, share in the comments.
Much love to you,
